The Celebrity Inner Circle

For BBC1's new celebrity quiz show, hosted by Amanda Holden, we designed a set built around a single bold idea: a circle that draws everyone, host, contestants and audience alike, into the same charged space. A vast LED floor sits at the heart of the studio, its surface able to shift from the show's glowing green branding to full motion graphics, turning the ground itself into part of the drama.

Ringing the floor, a raised podium puts every celebrity contestant in full view of the cameras and each other, lit by bands of green and amber neon that trace the curve of the set. Above it all, a dramatic lighting rig fans out in sharp white beams from a central ring, giving the whole space a sense of scale and spectacle the moment the lights come up. Back-lit screens curve around the perimeter, ready to carry graphics and atmosphere without ever breaking the set's clean, circular geometry.

It's a design built for energy and tension in equal measure, dark, glossy surfaces that make every light cue pop, and a shape that keeps the whole cast of contestants, and the secrets between them, in constant view. We're proud to have brought this bold new format to life for BBC1.
